About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing receivable aging accounts and ensuring accurate financial transactions. This role requires collaboration with multiple departments to maintain precise bookkeeping and facilitate smooth financial operations.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable.
  • Proficient in basic Excel functions such as formatting spreadsheets, navigating, using basic formulas, and sort/filter.
  • Comfortable using MS Outlook, including creating folders and staying organized.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new processes and ask questions.
  • Reconciliation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of debits and credits.
  • Experience with pivot tables or VLOOKUPs.
  • Experience working with or managing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
  • Familiarity with MS Great Plains.

Responsibilities

  • Verify, enter, and reconcile transactions.
  • Create and process billing to vendors.
  • Review accounts for discrepancies and apply adjustments when warranted.
  • Assist both external and internal customers with account-related items.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure accurate bookkeeping.
  • Calculate, prepare, and issue documents related to invoices, credits, and other financial statements.
  • Coordinate collection of payments or credits through calls and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with customers and vendors to ensure proper credit or billing for products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
