About The Position

Join our team in Maplewood as a full-time Accounts Receivable Coordinator! This role focuses on managing insurance claims, processing insurance payments, and handling patient account activity. It involves communication with internal departments, insurance companies, and patients to resolve account balances. Who We Are Community Dental Care is Minnesota's largest provider of comprehensive dental care for people of all ages on public programs. We operate five clinics across the state, including the Twin Cities, Rochester and Buffalo. Responsibilities Post insurance and patient payments Make adjustments to balance patients’ accounts as needed Maintain and update fee schedules with insurances Troubleshoot payment rejections with insurance companies Communicate with clinical staff to resolve claim errors and/or rejections Communicate with Treatment Coordinators to troubleshoot and resolve patient accounts Communicate with patients to collect balances due Outstanding insurance claim tracking Collect and send documentation to support overdue/denied claims Call insurance plans on specifics of services covered Collect benefit information in order to be the clinic resource for all of the health plans rules and restrictions Track and resolve aging accounts Process patient and insurance refunds Review patient accounts to ensure smooth and accurate patient billing process Occasional support for the Treatment Coordinator Flexible Hours Monday through Friday, business hours Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 2 years of medical/dental claims experience required 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably within an office setting 1-2 years of dental claims experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organized and skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Experience with Open Dental software preferred What We Offer Meaningful work in a collaborative environment that fosters professional growth Comprehensive medical, dental and life insurance Paid time off and holiday pay 401k plus company match About Us At Community Dental Care, we provide high quality dental care in a caring, culturally respectful manner. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of medical/dental claims experience required
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably within an office setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of dental claims experience preferred
  • Experience with Open Dental software preferred
