About The Position

Compiles and processes accounting transactions for Birkey's. Act as a liaison between corporate and outlying locations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Prepare, post, audit and manage accounts payable transactions, including scanned A/P from locations. Print, match and distribute accounts payable checks timely. Provide assistance to the bookkeepers/office managers as it relates to A/P functions. Review vendor statements scanned to A/P from bookkeepers. Answer all vendor inquiries. Prepare certain in house invoices and others as needed. Maintain paid and open A/P invoices and provide backup in preparing daily check run. Reconcile petty cash box for reimbursement. Distribute Shuttle Mail at Administration Office. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Customer Service Responsibilities: Ensure every customer is satisfied with the products, services and support of all staff. Resolve customers concerns efficiently and effectively. Promote a positive attitude at all times. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Exhibit Birkey's high level of customer service on a daily basis. Requirements

  • Individual should have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Should be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and carryout oral and written directions.
  • The individual should have 1 2 years of experience, a steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.
  • Ability to get around the corporate office and store locations for various tasks.
  • The employee would normally lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate up and down movement including reaching above and below shoulder height.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate office equipment as necessary.
  • Must meet health assessment requirements.
