About The Position

The Accounts Payable Technician is an entry level accounting position reporting directly to the CFO. The position provides direct support for processing the day-to-day vendor invoices and payments. First Level of information is Senior Accounts Payable Technician.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrate experience with basic knowledge of accounting principles.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
The ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills.
Type approximately 50 keystrokes per minute.
Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.
Team oriented person who can focus on the details.
The ability to deal effectively with tight month end closing process.
The ability to work effectively in a high growth environment and rapidly changing organization.
Knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, techniques and terminology.
Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record and store accounting information.

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree preferred but not required.
2 years related experience
Experience in an electronic accounts payable processing environment.

Responsibilities

Processing various types of accounts payable transactions including payment from fulfilled purchase orders, enterprise invoices, and other accounts payable billings.
Responsibility of completion of voucher packet.
Responding to vendor inquiries.
Reviewing vendor statements and addressing any issues.
Analyze accounts payable reports.
Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry and proper codes.
Check work for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to accounting principles.
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
