About The Position

Lydecker is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor with 3+ years of experience. This is an onsite position, located in our Miami office. The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, compliance with GAAP, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with various accounting software and systems, as well as a solid background in corporate accounting. Accounting experience in the legal field is a huge plus!

Requirements

  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial concepts.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports effectively.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy (10 key typing).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being capable of independent work.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction across departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting experience in the legal field is a huge plus!

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the accounts payable team to ensure efficient processing of invoices and payments.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounting.
  • Conduct regular audits of accounts payable processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to team members on accounting software and best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
