About The Position

Runk and Pratt Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process and entering vendor bills accurately into QuickBooks. This position ensures timely and accurate payment of invoices, proper record keeping, and compliance with company accounting procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and prior experience working with QuickBooks in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

Must have experience with QuickBooks (required)
Minimum 2–3 years of accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple invoices and deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Nice To Haves

Experience working with multiple departments or locations
Experience in healthcare, assisted living, or multi-entity companies
Understanding of general accounting principles

Responsibilities

Enter vendor invoices and bills into QuickBooks accurately and in a timely manner
Review invoices for proper documentation and approval prior to entry and payment
Maintain organized electronic and/or paper filing systems for invoices and payment records
Verify account coding and ensure expenses are allocated to the correct departments and locations
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
Communicate with vendors regarding invoice questions, payment status, and account issues
Prepare weekly or bi-weekly accounts payable reports as requested
Maintain accurate vendor records including W-9 documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Support the accounting team with additional administrative or financial tasks as needed
