Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associates Degree in Business / Accounting preferred and or equivalent 1+ years relevant experience. And/or minimum 2 years work experience in accounts payable with satisfactory performance.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Ability to accurately input data, and proficiency in using accounting/payable software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for basic tasks such as sorting and filtering data.
  • Good Communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review basic invoices for accuracy and input as needed. Verify vendor information, approvals, prior balances, sales tax data and GL coding. Responsible for compliance with policy guidelines.
  • Batch and enter invoices into AP system. Ensure timely processing of invoices. Process weekly AP check runs including uploads,ACH entries and reconciliations. Primary for 1 staff member and secondary for 2 staff members as back-up.
  • Provide customer service by researching & resolving outstanding issues for all departments, Branches and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Prepare various entries, reports and special projects as assigned by the Accounts Payable Administrator.
