About The Position

Overview: The accounts payable clerk compiles and maintains accounts payable records. Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable transportation to and from work site
• Strong communication skills
• A sound understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint,ERP (Ideally Acumatica)
• Willingness to learn
• Some overtime may be required
• Proficiency in internet and email use (accurate keyboard skills)
• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
• Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements
• Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present
• Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting
• Ability to sit in an office space for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• High school diploma or GED – a two year technical degree

Responsibilities

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Assign GL coding if needed
• Assist with PO receipts
• Match bills to appropriate documentation
• Distributes signed checks as required.
• Answers all vendor inquiries.
• Assists in monthly closings.
• Reconciliation of statements and accounts
• Performs filing and copying.
• Mail preparation, scanning and opening of all Accounts Payable mail
• Assign all incoming invoices to appropriate approvers.
• Front reception coverage while receptionist is out
• Maintain Company Cell phones Activate/Cancel
• Review expense reports
• Enter expense reports for employees with no access to Acumatica
• Process company utilities
