About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager to join the Data Center Power and Control Division Team in West Hartford, CT or Somerset, NJ. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable activities to support strong internal controls, efficient operations, compliance with IFRS reporting requirements and an inclusive and collaborative culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of accounts payable and general accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and collaborate within diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems; SAP/Esker preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a collaborative accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor and intercompany invoices and payments.
  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice coding, three-way matching, workflow administration, approval routing, and vendor inquiry resolution.
  • Support, coach, and develop team members across locations, fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can grow, contribute, and perform at their best.
  • Drive continuous improvement in AP processes, promoting accountability, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Support monthly and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, variance review, and related journal entries.
  • Partner with finance and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and strengthen financial controls.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, balance sheet reviews, and risk-control activities, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support risk and control testing efforts, helping identify control gaps and contributing to practical mitigation actions.
  • Contribute to a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance organization.
