Requirements

  • Candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Some college-level accounting coursework is preferred.
  • Three years of experience with accounts payable including one year of accounting experience in a health care organization.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for two years of accounts payable experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prints invoices from vendor websites.
  • Opens/Processes mail.
  • Checks invoices and check requests for proper coding and signatures.
  • Matches invoices in the ENVI system with received POs.
  • Selects accounts payable invoices for payment based on vendor policies and terms.
  • Prints and attaches checks to back-up paperwork.
  • Makes payments online to various vendors.
  • Distributes checks through the inter-company mail, US Postal Service, and/or FedEx.
  • Excel spreadsheets for reporting Updates/Maintains vendor files.
  • Reconciles vendor statements.
  • Prepares 1099s.
  • Prepares Sales and Use Tax Returns.
  • Copies invoices for prepaid, assets, and work in progress.
  • Compiles information and prepares reports.
