As the AP Clerk at Husqvarna Construction in Olathe KS, you are responsible for processing and paying invoices. In addition, this you will perform administrative functions to support the finance department. This position is critical for protecting the company assets by ensuring payment is accurate and valid. What You’ll Do Process and Pay Invoices (70%) Review invoices for accuracy and determine payment date Scan and index invoices Resolve discrepancies with appropriate internal employees/departments Obtain appropriate approval for payments; including internal division of authority hierarchy Review payments prior to disbursement and process related check run Communicate with internal/external vendors; including invoice issues, receiving issues, banking information changes Process inter-company monthly A/R and A/P reporting (Ematch) and process payments monthly (GIPS)F Monitor and identify vendor 1099 status and process annual 1099 forms to customer Process employee expense reports ensuring requirements for document backup, manager approvals, and travel policy adherence Process new vendor request ensuring proper documentation and received/input into AS400 Accounting Support Functions (30%) Reconcile various A/P accounts monthly, including freight, accrued A/P, In-transit inventory, and Receiver Removal reconciliations Prepare journal entries as needed Provide back-up for cash applications Assist with monthly and quarterly Finance/Accounting reports as needed Sort & distribute mail daily for Finance department Assist in research/preparation of sales/use tax documentation Request certificate of insurance Prepare trailer titles General filing as necessary Provide ad hoc reports as required What We’re Looking For Solid knowledge of PRMS, AS400, Kofax Capture, Concur, Excel and Word Ability to utilize system generated reports to reconcile accounts payable G/L accounts Working knowledge of general accounting principals Working knowledge of 3-way A/P processing (Purchase order to purchase receipt to invoice) Working knowledge of 1099 reporting EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Associates Degree in Business or at least 3-5' years previous A/P experience required Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred Why Husqvarna?
