Accounts Payable Clerk

About The Position

We are looking for a sharp candidate that is eager to learn. Under direct supervision of the Director of Finance, this individual will be responsible for executing accurate and timely Accounts Payable transactions, maintaining documentation that adequately supports those transactions and for communicating with the appropriate parties to ensure accounts are kept current.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required and +3 years of relevant experience
Proficient user of Microsoft Office programs, including MS Excel
Experience with ERP systems and other accounting related software
Must be detail oriented, have strong phone and communication skills, and be able to take initiative and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses & prepare and process weekly check runs.
Strive to identify and implement more efficient processes for improvement.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
Ensuring invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Reconcile account transactions with the general leader
Perform recordkeeping and prepare financial reports
Keep informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting
