About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Technician to join our finance team in Quebec. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations: accounts receivable, accounts payables, accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in an accounting role
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Acomba, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with Quebec and Canadian tax regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills in French

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Maintain and organize financial documents in accordance with company policies and government regulations
  • Support payroll preparation and processing
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate cost allocations and financial reporting
  • Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis
  • Prepare tax remittances (GST/QST, DAS, CNESST, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal financial regulations
  • Participate in year-end audit preparation and support external auditors as needed
