Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or information systems with four (4) or more years of experience in accounting systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Strong understanding of accounting information systems, ERP technologies, and accounting modules.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS or other major ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
  • Experience with process automation (e.g., AP automation, workflow tools).
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective written and verbal communication.
  • History of successful project management, requirements gathering, and workflow mapping.
  • Understanding of internal controls and audit practices.
  • Strong attention to details, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong process mapping and process documentation skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and master various in-house software applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software applications.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze accounting and financial operations to identify system improvements, process efficiencies, and automation opportunities.
  • Ensure accounting systems align with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Accounting and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting databases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting system issues affecting accounting processes and financial reporting.
  • Analyze systems requirements; construct workflow charts and diagrams; study system capabilities; write specifications; research and recommend system changes or upgrades.
  • Support implementation of financial software systems, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of financial system functionality.
  • Support financial system projects, including requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and implementation.
  • Support integration of financial systems with enterprise applications such as ERP, payroll, procurement, and reporting tools.
  • Support vendor and technology evaluations for reporting tools, automation systems, or enhancements to ERP modules.
  • Support ERP configurations, reporting tools, systems integrations and data governance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive procedural documentation, including: Accounting system workflows, Standard operating procedures (SOPs), Financial system user guides, Internal control documentation, Process maps and technical documentation.
  • Ensure system documentation, SOPs, user guides, and training materials are current and accessible to support compliance, training, and audit readiness.
  • Train users on systems, reporting practices, and updated processes.
  • Develop user training materials and system guides.
  • Plan and manage smaller departmental system projects, including process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure successful delivery of assigned projects.
  • Track project progress, budgets, risks, and deliverables while ensuring adherence to project goals and timelines.
  • Support development of financial reporting tools, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity across accounting systems and reporting platforms.
  • Assist with report automation and financial data management.
  • Identify quick wins and supports process improvement initiatives.
  • Support monitoring of key performance indicators for system performance, team performance, process efficiency, and automation return on investment.
  • Assist with process automation initiatives to streamline accounting operations, reduce manual effort, and improve timeliness and accuracy of data.
  • Facilitate process improvement workshops as assigned.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and ERP innovations through continuous learning, vendor partnerships and professional development.
  • Coordinate communication with stakeholders regarding assigned projects and process or system changes.
  • Work with IT to facilitate progression on projects, improve existing systems, support integrations, and develop new technology solutions.
