About The Position

This is highly responsible work performing a variety of complex financial duties as well as supervising other professional staff. While not all inclusive, this position is responsible for supervising and training assigned personal, collaborating with the Assistant Finance Director in the preparation and publication of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), working with auditors, assisting Finance Department leadership support new governmental accounting standards, establishing and maintaining Finance Department policies and procedures, is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and Chart of Accounts, and for supporting the department by completing work and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field
Four (4) years of professional level experience
At least one (1) year of supervisory experience
Successful completion of a drug screen, reference checks, and a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database.

In the event of an emergency/disaster in or near the County, all County employees are expected to make every effort to be available to assist the County Manager, Elected/Appointed Officials and Department Directors to ensure the continued operation of any and all necessary County functions. This may mean being available to perform additional duties and hours beyond what is normally required.
