About The Position

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supervising a team of accountants. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and develop a team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1-3 years in a management or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger accounting functions including but not limited to Cash, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Intangibles, Leases, Compensation Accounting (Payroll, SBC, PTO, Bonus accruals, etc.).
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive financial reports for management.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of general ledger accountants.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Participate in the external audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
