As an Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper, you’ll provide essential day-to-day accounting and administrative support, helping ensure our financial records remain accurate, current, and organized. You’ll work directly with our Controller and gain hands-on experience with customer payments, vendor invoices, bank deposits, reconciliations, and other accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional, recent graduate, or someone currently pursuing an accounting-related degree who wants practical experience, exposure to different areas of accounting, and room to grow.

Requirements

• An associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; and/or 1–2 years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Recent graduates and candidates currently pursuing a degree are encouraged to apply
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to organize multiple daily priorities and resolve routine issues efficiently
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams
• Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, sales representatives, and fellow employees

Nice To Haves

• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and ServiceTitan is highly preferred, although training may be provided for the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Record customer checks and other payments accurately and on time
• Enter vendor invoices and route them through the appropriate approval process
• Prepare, record, and enter bank deposits in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
• Perform daily accounting data entry and maintain accurate supporting documentation
• Verify transaction details, account coding, job information, and cost center information before posting
• Assist with account reconciliations and research discrepancies as requested
• Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting records
• Monitor and respond to accounting emails professionally and promptly
• Assist the Sales team with purchase order questions and phone calls
• Check and distribute incoming company mail
• Protect confidential company, customer, vendor, and employee information
• Support the Controller and Accounting team with additional projects and responsibilities as needed
