About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support Accounts Payable and related accounting activities at our Buena, NJ manufacturing facility. This is a fully onsite, hourly position, Monday through Friday. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations, and other Accounts Payable activities while also contributing to month-end close responsibilities and various financial projects.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative and dependable professional who demonstrates strong customer service, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Previous accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience working with IQMS or another ERP system is also highly valued.

Responsibilities

Review, verify, and process vendor invoices to ensure proper approvals, accurate coding, and compliance with company policies.
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate vendor records and balances.
Prepare weekly vendor payment runs through ACH, wire, and check payments.
Complete bank, credit card, and other applicable reconciliations.
Respond to vendor inquiries.
Resolve payment-related issues.
Provide supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests.
Maintain accurate financial records and support the timely completion of month-end accounting activities.
