Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in accounting, finance, or business preferred
  • Three or more years of related accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or credit union experience preferred
  • Experience with reconciliations, accounts payable, general ledger, or ACH/share draft processing strongly preferred
  • Intermediate math skills, comfortable working with percentages, decimals, and fractions
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and consistently meet established deadlines
  • Regular & dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Exception Processing – Review Share Draft and ACH exception reports, research discrepancies, and process returns accurately and on time.
  • Reconciliations – Reconcile official checks, accounts payable, and assigned general ledger accounts, researching variances and escalating unresolved items.
  • Accounts Payable – Manage vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, and annual 1099 filing compliance.
  • General Ledger Support – Post general ledger entries, corporate bank transactions, and monthly mortgage and tax postings.
  • Reporting & Compliance – Prepare quarterly Call Report documents and monthly Negative Share and Courtesy Pay reports.
  • Member & Front-Line Support – Process member service forms and support front-line staff with member questions.
  • Confidentiality & Controls – Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data and follow internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
