About The Position

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative, and forward-thinking Accounting Manager who is passionate about accuracy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting operations with process innovation and problem-solving. We’re especially excited to find someone with curiosity around artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, and who is eager to explore how AI tools can improve accounting accuracy, automation, efficiency, and workflow optimization. As our Accounting Manager, you’ll oversee core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial operations, supporting compliance efforts, strengthening internal controls, and helping the organization operate efficiently and effectively. This is a hands-on role that combines technical accounting expertise with process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and innovative thinking.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • AI tools proficiency and curiosity around leveraging technology to improve accounting operations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and explain financial information clearly
  • A proactive, adaptable, and continuous-improvement mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with accounting and payroll systems such as Workday, BILL.com, Expensify, or similar platforms preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ensure timely billing, payment processing, reconciliations, and payroll administration
  • Manage vendor records, expense reporting, payroll documentation, and financial data integrity
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, answer questions, and improve workflows
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, audits, reporting, and compliance initiatives
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
  • Leverage systems and AI tools to automate and streamline accounting workflows, enhance data accuracy and reduce manual effort
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement more efficient accounting processes
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive financial and payroll information
  • Provide support for special projects, audits, and organizational initiatives as needed
