About The Position

The Accounting Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and general accounting functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely transaction processing, and maintaining strong internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience preferred, especially AP or AR related
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process miscellaneous customer billing
  • Process customer deposits accurately and timely
  • Apply incoming payments to customer accounts
  • Assist with resolving billing discrepancies and customer inquiries as needed
  • Code and process credit card transactions in accordance with company policy
  • Enter vendor invoices accurately and timely
  • Prepare checks for payment, including printing and mailing
  • Assist with maintaining vendor records and resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Assist with preparation of journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of account reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Assist with month-end close processes
  • Support internal and external audit requests as needed
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records
