About The Position

The Accounting Manager will supervise on-property accounting staff. Responsibilities include working closely with NV Controller to monitor cage and count departments as well as following up internal audit findings and ensuring compliance with Nevada Gaming Control Board MICs and regulations.

Requirements

  • Internal audit, revenue audit, or compliance experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in Casino Accounting at Lead, Supervisor or Manager level.
  • Strong understanding of Nevada Minimum Internal Controls
  • Proficiency in MS Office required and strong MS Excel skills.
  • Highly analytical with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently while managing concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central or related Accounting System preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Compliance and Internal Audit to meet the Nevada Gaming Control Minimum Internal Control Requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day audit review of daily gaming audits and electronic software Merydyan.
  • Being able to step in upon the absence of accounting office personnel and fulfill daily assigned duties.
  • Review and prepare assigned Minimum Internal Control and Internal Controls for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.
  • Manage Gaming Audit, Internal Audit, External Audit and Compliance requests.
  • Assist the Controller in reconciling Gaming Revenue source documents to the General Ledger and, where needed, book all gaming revenue journals.
  • Understand the operations of business and maintain ongoing communication with necessary parties to ensure compliance with state regulations. Bridge the knowledge of gaming operation performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Review and prepare gaming exception reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance with Nevada Gaming Control taxing authorities.
  • Manage the count-team personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
