Requirements

• Understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and its impact in recording transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation
• 5+ years experience in Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior managerial or leadership role
• Experience with core banking application configurations and integrations
• Knowledgeable in emerging technologies, including AI

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team by coaching, developing, and supervising to grow them to their greatest abilities.
• Oversee the general ledger month-end review and closing process.
• Coordinate general ledger month end review/closing processes and ensure that entries are in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee and manage accounting operations related to general ledger, fixed assets, and accounts payable.
• Ensure all system processes and integrations are operating properly and collaborate with interdepartmental project teams on system projects, implementations, and conversions.
• Exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
