Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field.
• Five (5) years experience in accounting or finance.
• Three (3) years leadership experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• CPA or CMA credential
• MBA or Master’s Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
• 1+ years supervisory or leadership experience
• 1+ years of working in a manufacturing industry
• 1+ years of Oracle ERP experience

Responsibilities

• Strong involvement in the Division safety goals and actions.
• Leading accounting and purchasing teammates and processes.
• Training and development.
• Overseeing all daily accounting and purchasing tasks and controls, such as the general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, tax, financial and compliance reporting, forecasting and inventory activity.
• Various financial and analytical analyses driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the business locally and Corporate-wide.
• Oversight and execution of Nucor’s accounting and reporting related activities in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
• Leading the implementation, communication, and interpretation of accounting and purchasing policies.
• Managing the period-end accounting system close process.
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reports with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual on-time and accurate submissions.
• Leading ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
