About The Position

As an Accounting Manager at Avandra Imaging, you will have a critical role in supporting day-to-day financial operations across multiple operating entities. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the accounting department as well as collaborating with other departments within the organization. This role also includes managing accounting systems while ensuring a strong understanding of operational systems and data. You will play a critical role in maintaining strong cash flow, financial accuracy, and operational discipline as the company continues to scale. The successful candidate will have a positive, professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to work as a team player. The nature of the work will require demonstrating initiative and responsibility and being flexible/adaptive to a fast-paced and fluid business environment; the candidate should be able to communicate effectively and decisively with all levels of the organization and able to solve practical problems. This is a hands-on, operational role based in Avandra’s Eagan, Minnesota office, or open to remote within the U.S. for the right person.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in an Accounting Manager seat.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards for accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growing, multi-entity environment
  • Ability to build relationships with critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal, emphasizing attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and oversee the month-end close process.
  • Post journal entries for the month-end close process related to assigned GL accounts.
  • Analyze financial data (budgets, forecasts, and variance reports) to provide insights and recommendations to the Director of Accounting and Finance.
  • Support year-end income tax reporting and coordinate annual CPA audits.
  • Monitor daily cash flow and perform bank account reconciliations.
  • Complete and lead the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Adhere to internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory filings, annual reporting, and corporate insurance audits.
  • Oversee preparation of 1099s and other year-end tax form submissions.
  • Reconcile employee benefits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee employee expense reimbursement process
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department and implement best practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Performs ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned.
