Accounting Manager - Private Client Services
About The Position
EisnerAmper is seeking an Accounting/Tax Manager to join our Private Client Services (PCS) practice in Elgin, IL. This role is hybrid with 3 days per week in office. We are looking for a dynamic individual with the capacity to efficiently oversee multiple client engagements while demonstrating proficiency in reviewing period end accounting, tax returns, managing staff and conducting research. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the aptitude to foster professional growth among our staff. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required
- 5+ years of accounting or tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or public/Corporate mix
- CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification
- Prior public accounting or professional services industry experience
Nice To Haves
- Exceptional technical knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with CCH Access Tax
- Familiar with QuickBooks Online and Desktop
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple client accounting service engagements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and addressing accounting inquiries.
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Responsible for training, supervising and ongoing development of associates and seniors.
- Cultivate expertise in and impart specialized knowledge congruent with firm niches, initiatives and needs.
- Take responsibility for accurate time and billing for self and team.
- Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines.
- Actively solicit new client relationships and participate in client/potential client seminars to expand networking opportunities.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and proactively apply new knowledge to client engagements.
- Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to coordinate efforts, share knowledge, and ensure efficient and effective delivery of tax services.
- Hold self and direct reports responsible for achieving developmental goals
- Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge and develop industry-specific expertise.
