About The Position

LMC Landscape Partner is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, close processes, internal controls, and team development for our Houston-based partner. This role partners closely with operational leadership to ensure accurate financials, process consistency, and strong business support across a fast-paced environment. Our Accounting Manager is a full-time, in-office position Mon-Fri, reporting to our Director of Accounting. Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-location or service-based environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is ideal
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and internal controls
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting system experience required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to travel to branch locations throughout our Houston market
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, and month-end close
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reporting packages, and variance analysis
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow visibility, and operational financial review
  • Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate audit support and assist with tax, fixed asset, and compliance-related activities
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff while improving processes and reporting efficiency
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support business objectives
  • Other responsonsibilities as needed
