Requirements

  • 3 years well-rounded experience in GL, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, cash receipts, and billing
  • Supervisory experience
  • Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Previous experience in not-for-profit or foundation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operations and staff supervision of the accounting department.
  • Performs bank reconciliations, manages cash receipts, and prepares entrance fee schedules.
  • Oversees fixed assets, Foundation accounting, and various GL account analysis.
  • Manages Accounts Payable and billing.
  • Assists with accounts payable and accounts receivable for independent living, assisted living, dementia care, and in-home care.
  • Assists with budget preparation and data input.
  • Provides accounting support to Casa de las Campanas and the Casa Foundation.
  • Analyzes specific GL accounts on a monthly basis with appropriate support.
  • Prepares journal entries related to GL account analysis as needed.
  • Identifies and initiates policy and procedure changes as needed for the department.
  • Prepares bank and other investment reconciliations as necessary.
  • Updates fixed asset accounting system, annual property filing statement, and compares expenditures to budget.
  • Reconciles construction in progress accounts.
  • Prepares audit schedules and related audit confirmations.
  • Updates and certifies the BlackLine System for assigned GL account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
