About The Position

The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of assigned staff members as well as support process improvements and policy and procedure development. Salary range : $98,000 - $110,000 depending on experience + annual discretionary bonus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration required.
Minimum five years of related experience required.
Superior attention to detail.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
Ability to collaborate and think creatively.
Ability to resolve issues and influence team members.

Responsibilities

Manages the preparation of the monthly financial statement close process and property level reporting.
Coordinates and reviews monthly reporting from property accountants.
Prepares and reviews journal entries and account reconciliations, etc.
Assists in the preparation of internal reports for variance analysis.
Prepares supplemental financial schedules.
Supports process improvements.
Supports integration of new property acquisitions.
Assists in the coordination of all property tax payments.
Coordinates and assists with external financial statement audits.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Reviews quarterly property level debt compliance reports.
Adheres to existing processes and procedures while actively contributing to and championing for continuous process improvements.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
