The Accounting Manager will evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency and reduce the time to complete the close. This role will assist in creating proper written documentation of department policies and procedures, and collaborate with peers to oversee the daily activities of the accounting department. The manager will manage the monthly close process to ensure timely completion of consolidation and reporting deliverables, by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and multi-entity financial statements. This position ensures consistent application of US GAAP and guides staff in the determination of proper US GAAP accounting treatment of complex deals/transactions. Additionally, the role assists with treasury management, including banking relationship setup and implementations and cash forecasts. The manager is responsible for timely billing of service line management contracts, HRO contracts, and other non-patient revenue and ensures timely collection. This role partners with the HR department to ensure proper accounting of payroll expenses and is responsible for timely review and recording of expenses and liabilities in the general ledger. The Accounting Manager will assist other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business. This role also keeps informed about the latest developments in the accounting and healthcare industries and assesses their impact to the Company.
