Position Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for the daily accounting associated with Plant Accounting including supervision of staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting field; additional supervisory experience preferred.
Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Strong organizational skills along with problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong computer skills necessary.
Able to meet deadlines with attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the daily operations relating to Plant Accounting.
Review and approve team's journal entries, cash wires and RM processing.
Monthly close responsibilities including Plant PLs, COGS and expense accruals in Oracle.
Assist in requests from both internal and external auditors.
Review reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared properly, follow-up on any unusual items.
Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes & procedures, working closely with IT.
Manage scheduled processes in Oracle.
All other duties as assigned.
