About The Position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for oversight of core functional areas of General Ledger, Job Cost, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Warehouse in the Accounting Department. They will have day-to-day oversight and review authority over assigned functional areas, as well as direct supervisory responsibility over the staff assigned to the functions. They must demonstrate considerable flexibility and aptitude and be capable of developing thorough familiarity with all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the department and the duties of its personnel, as well as the applications infrastructure within which they function. Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or as an accountant in a private organization.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 2+ years' experience managing staff or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and the full suite of applications in Microsoft Office.
• Extensive proficiency with use of Excel.
• Experience with an integrated standard business accounting program.
• Self-directed and self-motivated.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding written communication.

Nice To Haves

• A background in construction is preferred.
• Construction related accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Viewpoint (highly preferred).
