About The Position

You'll lead a small team of accountants (1–5 direct reports), own the quality of their deliverables across multiple client files, and help clients understand the story behind their numbers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting management, ideally within a firm or multi-client environment
  • High proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero (NetSuite is a bonus)
  • Strong technical foundation across full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, and month-end processes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills — you elevate the people around you
  • Excellent English — this is a client-facing role
  • Comfortable using automation tools and improving processes
  • A calm, structured leadership style — you bring clarity without micromanagement
  • Based in Latin America with availability to work EST hours

Nice To Haves

  • eCommerce client experience is preferred
  • FP&A or financial modeling experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of accountants to deliver accurate, timely, high-quality work
  • Review reconciliations, financial reports, and month-end close deliverables across multiple client files
  • Ensure UpCounting's accounting processes are followed consistently and improve them where needed
  • Help clients understand their numbers, communicate insights clearly, and ensure smooth financial operations
  • Identify automation opportunities and contribute to scalable, efficient workflows alongside Controllers and senior leadership
