The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function, overseeing accounting staff, maintaining accounting records, and producing periodic and ad-hoc financial reports. This role involves understanding and following established financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems, preparing work timely with accuracy, directing accounts receivable and accounting staff, and collaborating with personnel outside of accounting. The manager will proactively identify issues, propose solutions, protect assets, mitigate risks through internal controls, and support internal and external audits. Regular collection, analysis, and summarization of information and trends for management reporting are also key. The position requires maintaining professional and technical knowledge and protecting confidential financial information.
