About The Position

The Accounting Manager position requires a professional, organized individual with the ability to take ownership of new projects. This role requires management of multiple projects simultaneously, accuracy in daily work, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for maintaining the daily accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements, and other duties as assigned. The Accounting Manager will be cross-trained in other functions and reports to the Controller.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 2 years’ Accounting experience
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • Willingness to be very hands on
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • The ability to work well with co-workers and in a team environment
  • Record of dependability and good attendance
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Minimum of Intermediate computer skills in Word programs

Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial reports, records, general ledgers and perform general bookkeeping for Parker Trutec, Inc.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including prepaid insurance and accruals.
  • File quarterly CAT and Sales tax.
  • Monitor and follow up on receivables.
  • Review payroll reports, monthly accruals, and GAAP entries.
  • Manage 2 Accounting Clerks
  • Own transactional accounting
  • Projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as asked by the CFO.
  • Additional duties may be required as needed by Parker Trutec and our customers.
