About The Position

Remtec, Inc. is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in the details while also looking for opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, support business decisions, and contribute to a growing organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and financial systems skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing or operational accounting experience is a plus.
  • CPA or advanced degree is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management.
  • Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Monitor cash flow and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, and other outside providers.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain accounting systems and financial data integrity.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to management.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing when needed.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff, as applicable.
  • Support special projects and other financial initiatives.
