About The Position

The Accounting Manager oversees the organization's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with financial reporting standards. This role will report directly to the Controller and oversee a small accounting team offshore to assist with monthly close and AP duties. The Accounting Manager will be a key partner to Finance leadership in driving consistency, operational efficiency, and sound financial decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exemplify the ability to multitask and thrive in an agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, while willing to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.
  • Possess high ethics and conduct business in the most professional manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred.
  • Implementation of ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
  • Healthcare industry experience (Life sciences, diagnostics, medical device)
  • Revenue recognition in a lab billing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with Finance leadership.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and documentation.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
  • Partner cross-functionally with departments such as human resources, operations, and the commercial teams on financial matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.
