Working with Regional Controller on the Internal Control design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business program (Accounting, Finance, Management, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint) and SAP.
  • A minimum of five years financial management experience, Experience with audit or Internal control / SOX compliance.
  • Ability to track and measure financial data and communicate information up and down.
  • At least five years of experience.
  • Staff Accountant experience.
  • Evening/weekend work during month-end close.

Responsibilities

  • Manages A/R and A/P processes in efficient manner
  • Ensures all invoices are sent to clients in a timely manner
  • Assists in the production of weekly reporting
  • Lends financial perspective to business issues facing district operation, including cost-benefit analysis
  • Manages period close, ensure general ledger is accurately represented, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assists in analyzing financial statements for areas of profit improvement, recommend action.
  • Assists with forecast and budget modeling, evaluate what-if scenarios.
  • Understand internal controls and document processes by creating flowcharts and narratives. Partner with process owners to perform walkthroughs, identify improvements, and produce WCGW reports that include key controls and a RACI matrix.
  • Understand segregation of duties and apply it by building a RACI matrix and supporting three-way and four-way matching within A/P and the ordering process.
  • Provides assistance with building maintenance management.
  • Learn and understand client contracts to apply them to financial outcomes and opportunities.
  • Prepare and assist with financial tracking tools used at the facilities to align with contractual requirements,
  • Provide on-site financial support as needed
