About The Position

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations, including the monthly close cycle. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. This role includes key responsibilities such as maintaining internal controls, producing financial reports, and fostering collaboration with cross-functional departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA license preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Minimum of 6 years working as part of a corporate accounting team, including experience managing the audit of US GAAP based financial statements
  • Experience working in the healthcare, medical billing or equivalent industry highly preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
  • A detailed understanding of ERP accounting software such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger
  • Assist with publishing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Collaborate with Controller to ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Manage accounting staff for all delegated tasks, including setting clear expectations, providing timely feedback, and scheduling employee performance reviews to ensure employee growth and job satisfaction
  • Support external and internal audit processes, ensure accuracy and compliance with financial statement audit
  • Responsible for complying with and filing applicable taxes and ensuring compliance with city, state and local tax and licensing requirements
  • Maintain and enforce appropriate accounting policies and procedures
  • Act as financial liaison for provider members, owners, managers, and administrative staff. Provide excellent customer service to provider members via email, phone and in person regarding monthly reporting, payments and fees
  • Identify, organize and execute process improvement projects to identify areas for efficiency, growth and revenue gains.
