About The Position

This is a unique opportunity to work in the Chase Travel team to provide assistance with the monthly financial close process. As a Controller on the Chase Travel team, you are responsible for overseeing the month-end close and accounting operations—reviewing/approving journal entries, reconciliations, billing, treasury and filings—while supervising and developing the team and driving automation/process improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
6+ years of experience in Accounting (GL, AR, AP)
Proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office software, especially Excel
Previous experience in large ERP systems required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent analytical skills – including the ability to present results.
Strong leadership skills – combined with the ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated sense of urgency to produce results
Innovative, creative and a problem solver
The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while focusing on completion of the highest priority items in the shortest time frame possible.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated proficiency in the handling of large data elements is preferred
SAP experience preferred

Responsibilities

Review and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with the month-end close calendar and pre-approved schedules
Supervise staff and senior accountants and ensure that all month-end close activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure continued support of Chase accounting processes, as needed
Review and reconciliation of bank accounts and treasury functions
Review and approve client billing and client invoicing process to ensure that all invoicing adhere to client contract and terms
Lead automation and efficiency initiatives, including the implementation and use of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) technologies
Oversee completion, review, and submission of periodic local and international government filings.
Coaching and provide continued development of accounting team to support the achievement of professional goals.
