The company is headquartered in Peachtree Corners, GA, with regional teams across the United States. This is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days in the Peachtree Corners, GA headquarters. Applicants for employment in the United States must have work authorization that does not require future visa sponsorship. The Accounting Manager will be the second-in-command within Corporate Accounting, serving as the Controller’s primary delegate. This role will provide leadership in revenue accounting, general ledger operations, financial close activities, internal controls, and team development. The manager will lead the Company’s revenue cycle across all contracts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Key responsibilities include driving process improvements to strengthen internal controls, increase efficiency, and accelerate the month-end close process, with a goal to reduce the current 10-day close to 7 days. This individual will also be a key data integrity leader during the evaluation and implementation of a new ERP system over the next 12 months. In partnership with Technology, Sales, and Operations, the Accounting Manager will ensure clean, consistent data flows from CRM and Professional Services Automation (PSA) systems into the ERP, supporting financial accuracy and operational scalability. The ideal candidate will have SaaS experience (financial services preferred) and a strong command of revenue recognition, including ASC 606. This leader should be energetic, thoughtful, and approachable, acting as a trusted resource and collaborative partner. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with significant influence on the Company’s financial operations and growth. Success requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, evolving requirements, and coordination across multiple time zones, along with a strong sense of urgency, sound judgment, adaptability, and an ownership mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and transactional accounting
  • 4+ years of deep technical experience with strong working knowledge and practical application of ASC 606
  • 1+ years of people-management experience
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate insights clearly to management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Experience with financial systems (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Workday) preferred
  • Experience with system implementations preferred
  • Familiarity with or curiosity about leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot preferred
  • SaaS experience (financial services preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain deep expertise in U.S. GAAP revenue recognition, including ASC 606 and SaaS subscriptions
  • Interpret and analyze customer contracts to extract key financial and accounting implications
  • Lead the monthly close and reporting process (revenue and expense), including journal entries, account reconciliations, and review of staff work
  • Assist the Controller in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls across all accounting processes
  • Apply accounting guidance to complex scenarios and prepare clear, well-supported technical memos
  • Support and contribute to the annual audit process
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve processes across the revenue cycle
  • Directly manage, coach, develop, and evaluate accounting personnel
  • Drive enhancements in systems and processes, including ERP implementation efforts
  • Lead or support special projects as needed
