About The Position

In this internship, you'll gain hands-on experience and work with a mentor to learn all about Accounting, and network with leadership at social events. At Sentry, we believe in providing hands-on experience that gives students a head start on their careers. As an Accounting intern, you’ll partner with a dedicated mentor to see firsthand how accountants drive our company’s success. You’ll also build your professional network through team social events and connections with leaders across the organization.

Requirements

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field
Planned graduation date between May 2028 and December 2029
Obtain a minimum GPA of 3.0
Ability to work in a team atmosphere
Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience

Nice To Haves

Working towards CPA eligibility highly preferred

Responsibilities

Learn about multiple Finance teams at Sentry via direct project work with different areas.
Prepare a variety of financial statement exhibits and reporting disclosures.
Review and reconcile financial statements to general ledger data and appropriate data sources.
Assist with automation of financial statements and reports.
Verify completeness and accuracy of financial transaction processing in accordance with accounting principles and reporting requirements.
Troubleshoot data reconciliation issues.
Assist with support, maintenance, and enhancement of accounting processes and systems.
