About The Position

Under the general direction of the Senior Accountant the Accounting Intern is responsible for completing sound financial analysis and preparing regular reports and tasks based on organizational objectives. The Accounting Intern may provide backup in the absence of other accounting staff. As such, you will be expected to act as a Redwood brand ambassador, promote our brand and provide the best resident experience possible. All Redwood employees are expected to conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance to Redwood company.

• Proven ability to plan, organize and implement multiple tasks/projects on a concurrent, real-time basis
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Computer literacy required, including strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Degree Seeking College Student, Sophomore Level or Above.

Responsibilities

• Prepare small portfolio of monthly financial packages.
• Verify taxes are escrowed by lender or self-imposed escrow.
• Work with fixed assets to verify cost, assets, book values, and miscellaneous items
• Review replacement reserve requirements and apply for any funds to be reimbursed accordingly.
• Assist with Gross Potential Rent issues
• Assist with Yardi clean up/audit issues.
• Participates in accounting department meetings via telephone or in person.
• All other related job duties as assigned.
