About The Position

The Echo Trailblazers internship program offers a dynamic opportunity in the transportation industry. Interns will work on real-world projects, learn from experienced professionals, and develop essential skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. The Accounting Intern will work closely with an Accounting Manager, gathering financial information and providing analysis to aid in business decisions. This role will support the Manager of Accounting Planning in forecasting, reporting, and distributing financial reports, while also developing knowledge of Echo's business units, customers, and sales representatives. The intern will gain insight into various projects and roles within the Echo Accounting team.

Requirements

Must be able to start May 24th, 2027 and complete the entire 10-week program.
Currently enrolled at a university as a rising senior, with at least one semester remaining after completion of internship.
Able to work in our Chicago office 3 days and hybrid 2 days a week.
3.5 GPA requirement.
Passion for Logistics: A keen interest and willingness to learn and try new things.
Possess a can-do attitude and believes anything is possible with the right focus.
Be organized, professional, and coachable with strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and project management skills.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and support the team in various ways.

Responsibilities

Partner with the specified Accounting team on a capstone project.
Research and assist with requests related to Accounting projects, which may include assisting with analysis, reporting, and statements.
Shadow individuals within different departments.
Give a presentation to all leadership detailing experiences and goals met during the internship, and a project.
