About The Position

Kenworth Chillicothe has an opening for a paid fall accounting intern position. The intern will be given a unique opportunity to learn first-hand from Kenworth’s experienced accounting staff. The Plant Cost Accounting Intern will be responsible for various plant cost and operational analyses.

Requirements

• Completed 50% or more of the requirements needed for an undergraduate degree in Accounting
• GPA of 3.0 or above in major

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end closing process (including, but not limited to journal entry and analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, financial statement tie out)
• Prepare financial analysis of materials and inventory
• Assist with vendor maintenance, fixed asset audits, and preparation for physical inventory count
• Participate in the physical inventory count
• Assist in Sarbanes Oxley audit which includes testing controls and evaluating control efficiency and design
• Other duties as assigned
