As an Accounting Intern, you will support the Accounting and Finance departments with a range of entry-level accounting tasks and administrative functions. This role is designed to develop practical skills while contributing to the day-to-day efficiency of the finance team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Completion of at least one semester of coursework in accounting, including principles of financial or managerial accounting

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship, part-time, or work experience in an accounting, finance, or office environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the processing of vendor invoices, matching purchase orders to invoices, and preparing payment batches for review and approval
  • Assisting with customer invoicing, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close activities including bank reconciliations, account tie-outs, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with the review and processing of employee expense reports, ensuring receipts and coding are complete and consistent with company policy
  • Organizing and maintaining financial records, both digital and physical, in accordance with Puck's document retention policies and audit readiness standards
  • Entering and verifying financial data in the company's accounting and ERP systems, ensuring records are accurate, current, and properly coded
  • Providing accounting and administrative support to other departments as needed
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency or accuracy within accounting workflows and communicating observations to the accounting team
  • Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis, research, and special projects as assigned
