About The Position

The Accounting Intern will support the CTDI Corporate Accounting team with routine accounting activities and month-end close processes. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations, while building a foundational understanding of corporate accounting operations.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Introductory coursework in financial accounting required; intermediate coursework preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong willingness to learn in a team-oriented, professional environment.
United States (Required)
Must be 18 years of age

Responsibilities

Assist the accounting team with day-to-day general ledger activities in a corporate environment.
Support the preparation and review of accounting schedules and supporting documentation.
Work closely with team members to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.
Assist with monthly close processes, including preparation and of journal entries and supporting balance sheet account reconciliations, including but not limited to: Prepaid assets, Fixed assets, Inventory accounts.
Help investigate and document account variances under the guidance of senior accountants.
Help organize documentation to support audits and internal reviews.
Assist in documenting accounting processes and procedures.
Participate in identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Operations, and Procurement as needed.
Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned, including: Journal entry preparation, Account reconciliation support, General accounting analysis.
