About The Position

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking an Accounting Generalist. This position is responsible to ensure that SOP's are being followed to audit standards. Daily duties include journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, auditing processes, and cash deposits. Salary for this position starts at (based on experience): $22.00/hour. Requirements

  • 1 year of accounting experience or completion of accounting courses is strongly preferred.
  • Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
  • Must be computer oriented and able to meet deadlines and adhere to company policies.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with internal and external guests/customers, both in person and by telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Work with department heads to ensure operational procedures are being followed.
  • Create journal entries as necessary and upload and post into the General Ledger.
  • Work with the Corporate Office to ensure payments are made timely.
  • Coordinate and analyze general ledger with leadership.
  • Attend department meetings and other required trainings.
  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and maintain all proper back-up.
  • Controls House Fund of this property including all banks issued out of this fund for associate banks.
  • Performs bank audit at random on a regular basis.
  • Document errors made by cash handling associates.
  • Ensure that the processing of all invoices is completed properly.
  • Complete other duties assigned by management.
