About The Position

This is a specialized part-time consulting opportunity for experienced accounting professionals across audit, tax, financial reporting, bookkeeping, controllership, forensic accounting, and accounting systems. The role supports an advanced AI initiative focused on translating real-world accounting workflows, professional judgments, and decision-making into structured evaluation materials. Selected professionals will develop realistic accounting scenarios, review model-generated outputs for technical accuracy and standards compliance, and provide detailed written feedback within their strongest area of expertise.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, audit, tax, bookkeeping, controllership, advisory, or finance operations.
  • Experience within public accounting, corporate or in-house accounting, advisory, or professional services.
  • A recognised professional credential such as CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, EA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, documentation requirements, and professional judgment.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing accounting work completed by other professionals.
  • Excellent written communication and close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently within an asynchronous project environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or a related discipline is highly relevant.
  • CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, EA, or an equivalent professional accounting credential is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design realistic accounting scenarios based on day-to-day professional work.
  • Develop tasks involving financial-statement preparation, reconciliations, journal entries, tax filings, audit procedures, month-end close, and internal controls.
  • Create structured examples that reflect how experienced accountants analyse and resolve practical problems.
  • Ensure scenarios include realistic assumptions, documentation, calculations, and professional judgments.
  • Review and compare AI-generated accounting outputs for accuracy, completeness, and professional quality.
  • Assess compliance with applicable GAAP, IFRS, tax, audit, or reporting standards.
  • Identify calculation errors, unsupported assumptions, classification issues, and technical inconsistencies.
  • Evaluate whether conclusions are appropriately supported by the facts and relevant accounting principles.
  • Provide clear written feedback explaining technical strengths, weaknesses, and required corrections.
  • Develop reference examples and evaluation criteria where needed.
  • Distinguish between minor omissions and material accounting errors.
  • Apply consistent standards across task design, output review, and quality-calibration activities.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with research and quality-review teams.
  • Incorporate project guidance and reviewer feedback into future assignments.
  • Contribute within the accounting specialty most closely aligned with your professional background.
  • Support calibration activities and peer review as project needs evolve.
