About The Position

The Accounting/Finance Intern will support the Finance and Accounting team with a variety of day-to-day activities, including financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, data entry, documentation, and general administrative support. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to corporate accounting and finance functions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and confidential information.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to organize information and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work professionally with confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior office, accounting, finance, or administrative experience is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with Excel functions such as formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables, or basic data analysis.
  • Exposure to ERP systems, accounting software, or business systems is a plus.
  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, cost accounting, or corporate finance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general accounting and finance tasks, including data entry, filing, scanning, and document organization.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
  • Help review invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and financial data verification.
  • Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports, gathering documentation, and organizing backup materials.
  • Assist with vendor/customer account maintenance and internal record updates.
  • Help prepare spreadsheets, summaries, and basic financial reports.
  • Support inventory, cost, or manufacturing-related financial tracking as assigned.
  • Assist with audit preparation by organizing documents and pulling requested support.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, vendor, and company information.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
